How to take a 30 year old house and make it amazing! One Room Challenge- Week 1
We want to introduce to you our newest renovation project! Shadowhollow!
This late 1990s, a two-story, suburban home was recently purchased by our clients who decided they wanted to buy a fixer-upper and make it their dream home. They reached out to us for design help to achieve that goal and we delivered!
We are soooo excited!
Let me tell you why we are so excited about his project...two reasons
Reason number one------------------>
As interior designers and remodelers, we love creating dream homes for homeowners and helping them be surrounded by beauty! (do you think that point is pretty obvious?)
And reason number two------------------>
We are entering the master bathroom of this project into the One Room Challenge sponsored by Better Homes and Gardens!
We are so excited about this challenge as it is the first time we’ve done something like this!
Be sure to keep an eye on this blog (you can go in and like/follow our Facebook page to be notified whenever we publish a new Blog post!) because every Thursday we will be publishing an update on the progress of this project starting today!!
In the video below I take you through the entire lower level of the home which is the floor where we are performing renovations however, it is the Master Bathroom that is going to be the star of the show!
The homeowners bought this house as a fixer-upper knowing that they wanted to make it their…
They knew they would need help with the design and execution of their desires for each of the spaces so they reached out to us even before they closed on the house so we could get right to work on the design.
We presented them with the perfect combination of elements and finishes for their new home and they LOVE how everything came together.
Now for the FUN part------------------> bringing this house to life and making it a HOME!
For the master bathroom, the client wanted it to feel like a spa-like retreat so we designed this dated bathroom to be transformed into a Master Bath Spa Delight!
All fixtures and finishes in the bathroom will be replaced with this Zen, Spa-like palette.
See below for the BEFORE images of this bathroom. Don’t you LOVE the wallpaper?!?
And since we are doing the entire first floor of this 2 story home, we wanted to quickly share with you some of the other rooms in the house.
Here are a few “before” images of the first floor of this property. As you can see it needs some TLC.
Obviously we need to start with the wall colors in this house. The orange is well...mmmmm….why don't you tell us what you think of this wall color in the comments below!
We are installing all new fixtures.....new flooring throughout.....new stair treds....new fireplace surround and shelves and of course new paint! We will use Benjamin Moore London Fog throughout the whole house since it is a nice warm neutral tone.
The kitchen is getting a complete overhaul. In fact, we are opening up the kitchen to the living room by taking the two walls between the kitchen and living room. The client loved our idea of using two tone kitchen cabinets; navy bases coupled with white uppers. It’s going to look spectacular!! We can't wait for you to see it.
We are especially excited for our clients to enjoy it as their new…
